Kate is a divorced woman in her 50s who is struggling both financially and emotionally. She is trying to repair her relationship with her adult son, damaged by her years of alcohol abuse when he was younger. Now, 10 years sober, middle-aged and living alone with her declining cat, she is barely making ends meet. Working as a caregiver, Kate is assigned to a new client, another damaged soul, Laura, who has been paralyzed from an accident. Laura is drawn to Kate and the two help each other heal from their respective losses. As they fall in love, Laura’s brother disapproves but it’s Kate’s own actions that end up betraying Laura’s trust.

Directed by Suzanne Guacci (STUFF) and a powerful performance by Karen Silas as Kate, along with strong supporting performances by Zachary Booth (KEEP THE LIGHTS ON) and Kristen Renton (SONS OF ANARCHY) as Laura, make this a very important drama that explores the themes of love, loss, disability and redemption.
