In the summer of 1974, an intrepid nine-year-old paper carrier (Polly Gallant-McLean) struggles to regain hope after witnessing a traumatic event. Set in the fictional Nova Scotian village of Millman, this first feature by celebrated Acadian documentarian Pamela Gallant is a heartbreaking but ultimately life-affirming portrait of idealism in flux.

A Q&A with director Pamela Gallant and producer Terry Greenlaw will follow the screening.

The Passholder Allotment has sold out. Passholders currently without a ticket who wish to attend this screening can either purchase a general admission ticket to ensure a seat, or attempt to gain entry with their pass via a Rush Line at the cinema.
