In 1943 Berlin, at 85 and Jew, Martha’s only choice was to go abroad or suffer the fate of most Jews. Her world-famous husband Max Liebermann’s valuable pictures still give her protection, but for how much longer? Martha's friends pressure her to escape with Hanna Solf's resistance group.
