Conceptual artist Gunter Demnig has laid 100,000 Stolpersteine (stumbling stones) in 30 European countries to commemorate Nazi victims, calling this work “social sculpture.” This film shows how the stones are crafted and laid at the victims’ last voluntarily chosen residences, which draws attention to the individual tragedies. The film retraces Demnig’s work, journey, and impact: the hope that it will help heal Nazi horrors.
