Award-winning director Damon Gameau embarks on a journey to explore what the future could look like by 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions that exist today. 2040 is a story of hope that looks at the very real possibility that humanity could reverse global warming and improve the lives of every living thing in the process. It is a positive vision of what ‘could be’, instead of the dystopian future we are so often presented.

The Resilient Activist’s mission is to build resilience, optimism, and hope in response to the impact of the climate crisis by providing community, stress-relief, and nature-connected programming that will support positive ecological change.

We at Drawdown Of The Heartland acknowledge the urgency of global warming as well as the opportunity we have to create new ways of living that support regeneration. We are committed to inspiring bold, collective action to reverse global warming and creating healthy, just, and sustainable communities.

The new documentary, 2040, fits our missions to a “T” and we are delighted to bring its message to viewers in the U.S.

Award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on a journey to explore what the

us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream. Structured as a visual letter

to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and

high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world

for future generations.
