This cheeky French comedy, directed by Gregory Boutboul, offers a fresh take on the prison and immigrant experience. Daniel Abessira, a Syrian Jewish restaurateur, enjoys a thriving business, a beautiful family, and a luxurious apartment in Paris’s Neuilly-sur-Seine. But when his financial misdeeds catch up with him, he is incarcerated in Poissy Prison, and his glamorous life is turned upside down. To survive, Daniel must rely on his humor, charm, and talent for scheming within this new, hostile environment full of outsiders.
