THE MIES VAN DER ROHES is the new film by Sabine Gisiger. The film tells the story of the women surrounding world-renown architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Based on private and unpublished archive footage, photos and documents, Gisiger is retelling the story of an iconic architect, Mies van der Rohe, new – from a female perspective. The story is told by Meis's eldest daughter Georgia van der Rohe

In 2001 Sabine Gisiger received the Schweizer Filmpreis in the category “Best documentary film” for “Do It”. Earlier, Gisiger has worked as a reporter for the Swiss Radio and Television Station (SRF), as well as a freelance documentary filmer. She is lecturing at the Zurich University of Arts since 2002.
