The Everest Within is a movie about personal direction and vision. It is a journey of self-awareness, inner strength, perseverance, modesty, and faith.

Yorgos Andreou was the first and only Cypriot to climb the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. This documentary presents his efforts, from the moment he decided to climb the mountain until the time he reached the peak. It encompasses his training, both physical and psychological, the problems he faced, the dilemma, as his wife was due to give birth to their son on the day Yorgos was scheduled to conquer the mountain, the climb, the possibility of death and finally the wisdom of the peak.

What makes this movie different is the perspective from which it was filmed. We decided to explore not only the actions, but also the emotions and experiences, even the void that follows a great accomplishment and sacrifice.
