This documentary tells the story of an 80-year-old guard who has been working in a castle in the province of Van in Turkey for 60 years. Mehmet Kusman taught himself the Urartian cuneiform script and is among the 20 people who can read this language. Through his determination and efforts alone, Mehmet Kusman learned the language of the Urartian, a civilization that disappeared 2,500 years ago and what is left is in rubbles. By learning the language, Mehmet Kusman gave a voice to these ancient stones.
