This documentary aims to promote the natural beauty and the ecological value of the habitat «9590* Forests with Cedrus brevifolia (Cedrosetum brevifoliae)», and to show the implemented actions of the project LIFE KEDROS, as well. The particular habitat is found only in Cyprus and nowhere else in the world. The cinematographic material of the film was prepared within the context of the project “Integrated conservation management of priority habitat type 9590* in the Natura 2000 site Koilada Kedron-Kampos” (Acronym: LIFE-KEDROS). The project aimed towards ensuring the mid and long-term preservation of the priority habitat type 9590* Cedrus brevifolia forests in good conservation status, at the only Natura 2000 site that the habitat is found, in the Pafos Forest. The objective of the project was achieved through the implementation of specific conservation actions, within and outside its natural distribution (in situ - ex situ conservation). The project was implemented within the framework of the LIFE program of the European Union. Partners of the project were the Department of Forests (Coordinator), the Cyprus Forest Association and Frederic University, through its Nature Conservation Unit.
