Pavlos works for the byzantine museum up in Troodos mountains in Cyprus. He is a dedicated insect collector who spends his spare time capturing insects in the woods and mounting them on special boards. However he has a psychological fear for wasps, due to the fact that his father got bitten to death by wasps when Pavlos was still a boy, though there was a rumour that he committed suicide for the love of a pretty woman. The film is about the relationship of Pavlos and Lido, a mysterious woman that Pavlos met in the woods while she was painting live wasps, and the adventure of the disappearance of a byzantine icon from the museum.
