This special two-part panel presents an in-depth, 360-degree exploration of the landmark eight-part docuseries PHILLY D.A. that has captivated audiences since its recent debut on Independent Lens. In Part 1, Royd Chung, ITVS VP of Production, leads the filmmakers Yoni Brook, Ted Passon and Nicole Salazar and other key personnel through a discussion about the evolution of the series and the major creative and practical challenges in telling this dynamic, multi-dimensional story. In Part 2, Sherry Simpson, ITVS Senior Director, Engagement and Impact Innovation, moderates an up-to-the-moment conversation with the film team, highlighting the engagement and impact strategies employed on the series’ behalf, and talks to LaTonya Myers, who features prominently in the series, about how her life experiences have been impacted by the film.
