This keenly observed comedy-drama is the debut narrative feature from Bulgarian-born, UK-based documentarians Mina Mileva and Vesela Kazakova (UNCLE TONY, THREE FOOLS AND THE SECRET SERVICE). Their film CAT IN THE WALL is a timely tale about immigration, gentrification and the international housing crisis, as well as people's struggles to understand the world around them. Bulgarian émigré Irina (Irina Atanasova) lives in London's Peckham district with her young son Jojo (Orlin Asenov). Trained as an architect, she currently works as a bartender. Her brother and roommate Vladimir (Angel Genov) is a historian, but he currently works installing satellite dishes. A dual crisis hits when their housing estate forces its tenants to pay for an expensive, unnecessary window replacement, at the same time that ownership of a local cat sets off a bitterly contested dispute between Irina and one of her neighbors. "This timely immigrants'-eye view of the UK certainly feels like a story which needed to be told." – Screen International.
