
Dhalinyaro follows three friends from different backgrounds who are in their last year of high school. The film beautifully captures this youthful period of life with all the hopes and dreams as well as the anxieties, uncertainties and difficulties that each young woman faces in charting the future course of her life. The film transports viewers into Djibouti, its society, culture, traditions and values, while telling its universal, coming-of-age story. Dhalinyaro is the first feature-length film directed by a woman from Djibouti and is the first film from Djibouti to be shown at CFAF.
