In the 1970’s, the best place, the only place to be, was at The Continental Baths in NYC. Straight proclaiming and Montana-escapee Michael (Robert Aberdeen) gets a job as the piano player for The Continental, and Scotti (Don Scotti) the manager, takes Michael and his girlfriend Tracy (Ellen Sheppard) under his wing. The trio forms fast friends -- maybe too fast for Michael, who you might remember, says he is straight. The utter magic of this film lets us once again be privy to a moment in time -- post Stonewall and pre-AIDS -- where almost anything was possible, even for Michael, who would like to remind you agaibn he is straight. The documentary feel of the club performances only adds to the magic, and Fun Fact: Steve (Steve Ostrow), the club owner, is played by the real life manager of the Baths.
