SYNOPSIS

To me, your face is more than what you see.

Born as a person with Down Syndrome, Eunhye was deeply scarred by the cold judgmental eyes of others who treated her as an inferior human because she looked and thought differently than others. She was trapped in a life of anxiety filled with the assumption, “You can’t accomplish anything.” Through the silent act of drawing, she’s able to see past the existential barriers, society’s limitations, and heal her wounded heart. Her drawings of ordinary people express a sincerity of love and respect for everyone, despite not receiving the same in return. Eunhye’s carefully drawn images convey her own dignity and willingness to live life to the fullest.

One hot summer, Eun-hye becomes popular at “Munho River Market” as an artist who draws ‘not pretty face’ pictures. When customers ask her to draw them to look pretty, she replies “But you’re already pretty.” Eun-hye takes great care for a long time to express each people’s personality and says that everyone is born pretty from the beginning. And now the number of happy faces has already reached 2,000. The audience, by watching her draw and seeing the impact it has on her life, will also experience happiness.
