Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches (A3M) is a non profit organization focusing on recruiting marrow donors and diversifying the Be The Match Registry. A3M worked with filmmaker Paul Goodman, a cancer survivor and transplant recipient, during his search for a marrow donor. Goodman's film EVERGREEN was filmed during his cancer treatments and filmmaking was somewhat of an escape for him during a very difficult time. Proceeds from this film's tickets will go to A3M's critical work of saving lives and we hope to bring forth awareness that there is a need for donors, particularly in the API community. To register as a donor, you must be 18-44 years old and in general good health. Learn more at a3mhope.org
Ben and Sam only needed a carpool. but what they find on the road becomes so much more. As they wind along the Pacific Coast Highway, they realize that the farther they go, the closer they become, and those forces that kept them looking back are being left far behind.
About Paul Goodman (Director):
In late 2016, Paul was diagnosed with leukemia and spent the next five years battling cancer while still trying to pursue his film career. Having to put aside the location gigs, he spent his time in the hospital writing scripts and editing. During the first three years, Paul would go on to direct and edit two of those short scripts: LEAFER (2019) and SIX WINDOWS (2019), as well as his first feature, EVERGREEN (2020). His cancer relapsed in December 2020 but he credits the support of his amazing family, friends, and crew (many overlapping parties) to give him the strength and love to grow as a filmmaker during a period known foremost for its grief and pain, and continues to pursue a formidable career with good health, possibility, and grandeur. He is currently looking for a match for a stem cell or marrow transplant. Click here to learn more.
