About the Filmmaker:
Amira Louadah was born in Algiers. During her years of study in design and visual arts at ENSCI Les Ateliers in Paris, she cultivated a passion for staging and storytelling. Her journey is marked by formative stays, notably in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and New York, USA, where she conducted her first field captures. Fascinated by languages in all their forms -design, video, colour, objects, materials, words etc. - she translates her intercultural experiences into plastic exploration or use them as tools for reflection, aiming for mediation: the circulation of imaginaries, narratives, and voices...
Her filmography includes works such as "A Non-Newtonien Dinner" (2017) and "La grosse moula ou li michan" (2021). Her latest film, "The Ark" (2022), won the Renaud Victor Award at FID Marseille and was selected in the official competition at various international festivals, including the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2023.
