A high school junior spends Spring Break 2022 on a reporting trip to three countries along the Ukrainian border to talk with refugees and aid workers, hoping to get a better understanding as to why cruel chapters in world history continue to be written.

Emmy-winning journalist Peter Musurlian joins his 17-year-old daughter June Musurlian for a Spring Break reporting trip to Ukraine's border with Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. June is trying to understand the kind of inhumanity her great-grandparents suffered in the 20th Century. On her father's side the perpetrators were the Ottoman Turks. On her mother's side the perpetrator was Stalin. An end-of-the-trip visit to Auschwitz leaves June with even more questions.
