Learn how to get your animation screened at festivals like SIGGRAPH, GLAS Festival, Annie Awards and Atlanta Film Festival. Get behind-the-scenes tips on what will increase your chances of getting your film seen.

Shuzo John Shiota graduated from Sophia University, majoring in International Legal Studies. After joining Nippon Steel Corporation in 1991, Shuzo then jumped industries to participate in the launch of Dream Pictures Studio in 1997. He moved to Polygon Pictures two years later and in 2003 assumed the position of President and CEO. The company has since enjoyed exponential growth as the premier digital animation studio in Asia, winning many accolades including multiple Emmy Awards. Shuzo has also juried on many major Japanese and international film festivals, including Prix Ars Electronica, SIGGRAPH, Annecy, and Digicon6. He has given talks worldwide, including TEDxKyoto in 2015. In his spare time, Shuzo engages in his life long passion as a vocalist in a classic rock band. Shiota went on to participate in the launch of Dream Pictures Studio in 1997. Shiota has also served as a judge at major Japanese and international film festivals including Prix Ars Electronica (AUS) and SIGGRAPH (U.S.). In 2008, he was selected as one of the "25 Toon Titans of Asia" by popular industry publication Animation Magazine. He also presided as a judge at the 2016 Annecy International Animated Film Festival.


Justice Obiaya is the Director of Marketing & Community Relations at Atlanta Film Society and marketing manager at Out on Films Festival, both of which are Oscar qualifying festivals. He has programmed for the 2019 Animation Block alongside with ASIFA -South to help select and screen animations with the programming team. He is also on the board of directors at ASIFA-South and alongside with being a Google analytics certified digital marketing manager, holds a degree in animation.


Patrick Smith is an animation director and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences[1] (AMPAS). His formative years were spent as a storyboard artist for Walt Disney, and animation director for MTV's Daria and the Emmy-nominated Downtown. Smith spent five years in Singapore as a professor at the graduate film program for New York University Tisch School of the Arts, under artistic director/filmmaker Oliver Stone. Patrick is a fellow of the New York Foundation of the Arts and a curator for multiple international film and animation festivals. He lives and works in Montauk New York with his wife, Kaori Ishida and their daughter. He is also a content creator on Youtube and has over 57million view on his animated short POUR585 alone
