In the mystical, southern French region of Camargue, Tom Medina (David Murga, All the Dreams in the World, BWF 2018) turns up, on probation, on the doorstep of big-hearted farmer Ulysses. Director Tony Gatlif’s (Djam, BWF 2018) partly autobiographical Tom dreams of becoming a good person, but he's thwarted by the hostility flung in his general direction, which shows no sign of abating (premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival).
