You will receive a link of the recording of the in-person discussion with one of the film's stars, Dr. Gabriel Sara, a real-life oncologist and music therapy practitioner who also served as the film’s consultant, moderated by WBUR Senior Health & Science Reporter Gabrielle Emanuel.
The fabulous Catherine Deneuve plays an overbearing mother to her son Benjamin (Benoit Magimel), a "failed actor" turned acting teacher, who's given a terminal cancer diagnosis. Benjamin seeks advice from Dr. Eddé (played by real-life oncologist Dr. Gabriel Sara, who will join us in person for a Q&A), a doctor who plays guitar and leads his staff in singing along. Aided by the ravishing Cécile de France, Dr. Eddé provides the kind of compassionate, empathy-based treatment that enables Benjamin to become his true self.
One of the stars of the film, Dr. Gabriel Sara, a real-life oncologist and music therapy practitioner who also served as the film’s consultant, will participate in a Q&A immediately following the in-person screening, moderated by WBUR Senior Health & Science Reporter Gabrielle Emanual.
There will also be a festive reception in honor of Dr. Sara, just prior to the in-person screening, Purchase tickets ($15 each) here.
