Edward, now 28, hasn't seen his family since he crossed the US-Mexico border on foot 10 years ago. Trapped in the US by a maddening waiting game for citizenship, he grapples with the idea of leaving the life he built in New York behind forever in exchange for a long overdue homecoming. Will Edward reunite with his family or continue on in his self-imposed purgatory?

Alex Ramsey brings breathtaking vision to his work with a mix of surreal visual dreamscapes and raw vérité scenes that bring the human condition to light in a vivid hyperreality. Alex started his career while still in high school, making experimental films out of his home town, Seattle. He then found his way to New York City, where he cut his teeth as an editor. Numerous award-winning short films later, Alex is now focusing his energy on long form narrative work. Alex is currently in production on a feature documentary about New York City Ballet’s Tiler Peck, executive produced by Sarah Jessica Parker.
