What's Next For The Film?

We began by entering "Beyond the Bolex" in festivals worldwide. We are now raising funds for our general release and outreach campaign, and by joining us for this screening of "Beyond the Bolex", you will be helping us bring the film to a wider audience. If you would like to help us further, your donations are greatly appreciated!

About The Film

In the early 1920’s inventor Jacques Bolsey aimed to disrupt the film industry with a motion picture camera for the masses: the iconic Bolex. But little was known about the immigrant inventor until his great-granddaughter uncovers his forgotten family archive and embarks on a journey to reveal his epic story.

Conversation with the Director

Your ticket includes a Q & A with Director/Producer, Alyssa Bolsey moderated by American Society of Cinematographers Associate Members and Owners of PRO8mm, Phil and Rhonda Vigeant. With your ticket confirmation, there will be a link to a questionnaire where you can submit questions for the Q & A and Alyssa will try to get to as many questions as possible. The link to the recorded Q & A will be emailed to all ticket holders a few days after the screening window is closed.
