
On 8 September 2019, Sarajevo hosted its first Pride March. Today, Pride marches are an unmissable event in all the major European cities, even though in many countries official recognition of equal rights for the LGBTQI+ community is still far from being secure. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, a complex country still was torn by the aftermath of war and that is striving for an inclusive approach towards this community, this march marked a turning point in the general perception of the LGBTQI+ community in the country and of its right to exist.
