Siri Lindley couldn’t swim, and struggled in biking and running events. She had spent a difficult childhood being raised by her mother, Astrid, and stepfather, football legend Frank Gifford, so she embarked on a desperate mission to prove herself in sports. With years of intense training, she went on to become a two-time Triathlon World Champion, a legendary coach, and one of the top motivational speakers in the world. But there were many obstacles in Siri’s way — she competed at a time when it was not acceptable to be queer as a sponsored athlete, so was forced to hide her sexuality. After she came out, and as her success grew, she was met with the biggest obstacle of her life — a terminal cancer diagnosis. With fierce determination and an open mind, she never gave up. Siri Lindley not only survived, but went on to inspire thousands with her motivational spirit, and her inspiring mission to rescue horses and use them to help heal others.
