We put a call out for filmmakers living in Herefordshire, Powys, Shropshire and Worcestershire and, despite the lockdowns, were delighted to receive almost 30 entries. Untypically, the majority this year came from women – a cause for celebration. 

GHOST                                    Dir: Lucy Parker

Hand drawn animation created on the theme of juxtaposition. A sad ghost finds companionship through a dog who brings him some happiness through friendship.       (:30 seconds)

THE FERAL TALES TRILOGY #1         Dir: Estelle van Warmelo

White Cottage - Inspired by creative submissions from followers of Feral Productions during the initial Covid-19 lockdown in the UK, the three tales are interconnected through themes of death, portent and a flavour of the supernatural.                                            (6:07 minutes)

GHOSTS                              Dir: Megan Nicholson

A short tail of two lonely souls finding each other, and making the most of one night.              (1:47 minutes)

CREATURE                            Dir: Anthony Jenkins

Inspired by real people, 'CREATURE' tells the story of a young homeless girl who endures a life of violence and degradation in order to survive.                     (10:46 minutes)

THE RIVER                           Dir: Paula Brackston 

A heart to mend or a life to take. The river will play its part. Will a man who has lost everything give in to despair, or be saved by the mysterious girl who stands at the water’s edge?                                     (7:06 minutes)

JACKS TAPOSITION                   Dir: Emma-Jae Rothman

Juxtaposition- a comedic take on fear vs reality. Staring Jack Wells, Melanie Wells and Ed Wells.          (1:12 minutes) 

THE BREAK                      Dir: Thomas Elliot Griffiths

A young couple reflect on the beginning of their relationship and ponder what has changed between them since. (6:00 minutes)
