In 2008, an explosion in a fireworks factory in Istanbul killed 21 workers and injured more than one hundred others. The workers’ families refused to accept that the explosion was a tragic accident, instead insisting that the factory’s owners, who had been operating the facility illegally, were criminally liable. This stunning documentary follows the families’ eight-year battle for justice as they try to make their voices heard and heal their wounds.
