Ismet is a recently retired military man, who served on the border as a coast guard commander. As a civilian, he now struggles to communicate with his family and people around him. His only son has left for the U.S. and now his wife wants to join him. After suddenly becoming neighbors with two Syrian refugees at his house near the Turkish-Greek border, Ismet is plunged into a human experience that forces him to to confront his prejudices and political views.
