Ester and Diane, a Jewish mother and daughter, forced to flee their native country, find refuge in a peasant house in Treviso, where they spend a period from 1939 to 1943. Many years later, the little girl from those years returns to the place of memory to find her childhood friend Goiacchino, and together they will help bring to light what has been kept silent for many years.
