I began childhood in nature and 'professional activity in radio, at 16, as a speaker, radio actor and author for private RADIO. At the age of 20 I became involved in the PRESS: I directed and founded Dilectus, the first monthly Appointments with Entertainment spread in Puglia. In the course of time I then dealt, as a freelancer, with ADVERTISING (art and copywriter). As producer (Italy) I contributed to the realization of the World Campaign of the Swedish telephony giant Ericsson. I conceived, wrote and directed the Commercials to promote the city of Bari in the world. I worked for TV collaborating with Rai and Mediaset as an Artistic Expert and consultant within specific entertainment programs. I specialized in the development of cultural and/or tourism projects for the development of the territory through the conception and organization of major EVENTS constantly followed by national and international media. I am often hosted, as a director, author and event creator, in many national and international television and radio programs.
I began the activity of CINEMATOGRAPHIC FICTION WRITING by writing my first screenplay and winning the Alberto Moravia Special Prize for Screenplay. Some of my documentaries have been broadcast by Italian TV and other international broadcasters. And in various international festivals and cultural contexts. For AUTHOR'S DOCUMENTARIES and for my activity in culture and entertainment, I have received numerous awards and recognitions.
At this time I find it stimulating to cinematically tell stories and images of reality through auteur documentary films, always from the very special Subject that make them recognizable in the cinematic landscape. I am the creator of FORMATs for TV and the Web.
A subtle taste for the absurd and the grotesque, combined with poetry and anthropology, allow my works to always amaze, surprise and excite the viewer.
The documentary tells the untold story of Antonieta Felmanas (real name is Taibale Reichel), a powerful narrative of survival and empathy. Before World War II, her Jewish family, the Reichels, lived in Kazyany (formerly Poland, then Lithuania, and now Belarus). That year, after the USSR-Germany pact, the Russians entered their territory and ordered her mother, despite being pregnant with Antoinette, to be subjected to forced labour in Kazakhstan, where Antonieta was born on 1 May 1940. Forced to flee the Nazis, Antonieta was hidden by a Christian baron and, later, a peasant couple. At the end of the war, she was rescued by her cousin Rivka, a Partisan guerrilla. Together they faced a perilous journey from Lithuania to Italy, where a Jewish organisation called ‘Joint’ put Rivka in touch with a distant Brazilian relative who was willing to adopt her. Antonieta arrived in São Paulo at the age of 6, where, growing up, she developed an attitude of solidarity and fraternity towards those who had nothing and in adulthood became an active philanthropist, founding the Anchieta Grajaú Institute, which took in thousands of homeless people in São Paulo. Her inspiring story exemplifies the power of solidarity and the capacity for transformation in the face of adversity. The film is narrated in the first person by the protagonist, and also through a wealth of archive material, containing photos, audio recordings and an innovative experiment where memory is supplemented by the use of images generated by artificial intelligence, adhering to a new genre that didn't exist before: the documentAI.
