Director Biography - Ainhoa Andraka, Zuri Goikoetxea
Ainhoa Andraka and Zuri Goikoetxea have been dedicated to documentary cinema for more than a decade.
They have developed, mainly as producers, writers and editors, films as Asier AND I (Asier ETA biok, Amaia & Aitor Merino, 2015), Above 592 metres (Maddi Barber, 2018) INLAND (Juan Palacios, 2019) or FANTASIA (Aitor Merino, 2021), awarded at festivals such as SSIFF, CPH:DOX, Bafici, Visions du Réel, FICG, Pesaro Film Festival, Festival de Málaga or Documenta Madrid.
Nowadays they produce Laida Lertxundi and Albertina Carri’s next films.
The only time the Spanish women’s wheelchair basketball team participated in the Paralympic Games was in Barcelona in 1992, when Spain was granted the place as the host country without the need to qualify. Twenty-four years later, the team once again has the chance to compete in the Paralympics. Despite having fewer resources than other countries’ teams, the Spanish team is making its way against all odds in the international competitions. An intimate, player’s-eye view follows the physical and psychological journey leading to the team’s historic qualification for the Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020-21.
