Q&A 2/22 with Filmmaker Lynda Suissa and Randy Colman


Since 1943, for six weeks every summer, Jewish children have gathered on the shores of Lake Willam, Nova Scotia at Camp Kadimah. As they pulled together through generations of song, spirit and tradition, they shaped a community that would shape their lives forever. Through interviews with alumni from every decade, vintage film and memorable music , this film shows the history of Camp Kadimah from its earliest days to the present . It also tells the story of the Jewish Communties of Atlantic Canada; how they came from Europe to settle in Canada and why Kadimah was founded.


Director Biography - Lynda Medjuck Suissa

Lynda Medjuck Suissa lives in Halifax ,Nova Scotia , where she was born and raised . She is the director and producer of " Camp Kadimah -The Story of Our Lives" , a documentary about a Jewish summer camp in Lunenburg County N.S , which she attended throughout her youth . Lynda has an MBA from Dalhousie University and enjoyed a 25 year business career in Marketing and Advertising in Halifax and Toronto , before pursuing her passion for film making and story telling . This is her second documentary film.
