Discussion with Boca Raton Museum of Art -

Director - Irvin Lippman

Irvin Lippman is Executive Director of the Boca Raton Museum of Art, a position he has held since 2014. He received his BFA from the University of Denver, and an MA in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin. His more than four-decade museum career began in the Education Department at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. (1975-1983). He went on to be the Public Affairs Manager and then Assistant Director of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, Texas (1984-1994). In 1994 he became the Executive Director of the Columbus (Ohio) Museum of Art (until 2002); and in 2003, he was appointed Executive Director of the Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale (retiring in 2012), after which he returned to live in his native Texas. He came out of retirement for what was going to be a short-term interim position in Boca Raton that has turned into an enjoyable, fulfilling and surprisingly creative capstone to his career.

Assistant Curator - Kelli Bodle

Kelli Bodle is the Assistant Curator at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Her most recent exhibition was My 13 Presidents and Other Recent Acquisitions and she is currently working on a summer 2021 exhibition with Miami artist Vickie Pierre. During her 12 years at the Museum, Kelli has prioritized mentorship, education, and outreach. She is a mentor for ArtTable and has supervised curatorial interns the entire time. Kelli has promoted art historical knowledge by sitting on panels and lecturing to the Association of Registrars and Collection Specialists and the Association of Art Museum Curators. Finally, Kelli has remained active in local civic and art groups through the Jaycees and by judging group art exhibitions at the Festival of the Arts, Deerfield Beach, and the Outside the Box Biennial at Whitespace-the-Mordes Collection.
