Speaker - DR. ILARIA SERRA
Ilaria Serra was born in Venice, Italy. She is a Professor of Italian and Comparative Studies. She earned her Ph.D. at Florida Atlantic University. Her research covers Italian cinema, Italian literature, Italian song and the history of Italian immigration to the United States. She leads the FAU Study Abroad Program in Venice, Italy, where she also teaches the course Venice and Its Reflections. She received the Scholar of the Year Award in both the Assistant and Associate Professor categories (2012 and 2020). She recently received an EU-Jean Monnet Center of Excellence grant.
