Discussion and Q&A with Larry Ferber


Larry Ferber is a three-time Emmy nominee, and a thirty year television veteran. He has produced, executive produced, and consulted in all forms of broadcast media, including network TV, syndication, cable, webcasting, and home shopping.


Dividing his time between Los Angeles and New York he worked on the top-rated daytime television talk shows of the1970’s - 2000’s including DINAH SHORE, MIKE DOUGLAS, JOAN RIVERS, DENNIS MILLER AND SALLY JESSY RAPHAEL. 


He has been profiled in USA TODAY, and quoted in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, THE NEW YORK TIMES and TV GUIDE and is the recipient of the Gracie Award, the Alliance for Women in Media’s highest honor.


After leaving television, Ferber found a home as the Cultural Arts Director at the Simon Family JCC in Hampton Roads, VA. Five seasons later he moved to Florida, and became Director of The Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival. Under his supervision the festival tripled its revenue and showed a mix of films that increased attendance and cultural awareness. Under Ferber’s guidance the festival moved its Opening Night to The Kravis Center, drawing a record breaking 1,000 people.


He served as the Artistic Director at The Living Room Theater for five seasons. Currently he serves as the resident film critic at Sinai Residence and other organizations in Broward and Palm Beach County.
