Based on a true story, this short film celebrates the bravery of an inconspicious caretaker of the city's largest museum in Hamburg who has a special, silent connection to art (and the creators of art). When his world is torn apart by the merciless Gleichschaltung he risks everything to save some of the "degenerate" artworks from being confiscated by the Nazis, including some by Jewish painter Anita Rée.
