2020 Year of the Nurse is a documentary about Black nurses and practitioners in Virginia, New York, and other cities across the country. This project provides insight into how they fought to save lives from the devastating effects of Covid-19. It also highlights how medical professionals had to fight for their rights when faced with multiple challenges such as systemic racism, pandemic preparedness, work-life balance, and mental health issues while on the front lines.
