Arte Congo… is a film that documents a unique Afro-Panamanian contemporary art movement that was born at Taller Portobelo, (the Portobelo Workshop), in the Republic of Panama. Taller Portobelo is an artist cooperative with a two-prong mission: to preserve Congo culture through the visual arts and, to provide income for a culturally and historically rich yet economically challenged community.
