When Hiam Abbass left her village to follow her dream of becoming an actress, she also left behind her mother, grandmother and seven sisters. Thirty years later, she returns with her filmmaker daughter Lina, on a journey through the vanished places that exist only among the scattered memories of four generations of daring Palestinian women.
