Director's Bio:
Aurora Brachman is a documentary filmmaker currently riding out the pandemic in Los Angeles, CA. She is an MFA student in Documentary Film at Stanford University and a 2020 Sundance Ignite Fellow. Her most recent film ‘Club Quarantine’, about the virtual queer dance party Club Quarantine, premiered on the New York Times Op-Docs. She is also the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship in Filmmaking to the Pacific island nation of Kiribati where she directed the docuseries, Between the Tides. Aurora is drawn to stories about intimacy and relationships between families, communities, or within oneself. She primarily makes work about the experiences of black, brown, and queer communities and is committed to collaborative and ethical storytelling.
