During a game of hide and seek, Vanja leaves the bright living room and enters a dimly lit courtyard with far too many dark corners, weird shadows and strange noises. In self-defense, Vanja must become a dangerous tiger!

A stop-motion animated film about ten-year-old Kevin, who dreams of becoming a pilot so that he and his sister Jaimy can escape from their tyrannical father.

Three children make up the story of a whale jumping out of a mountain lake and taking a ride on a hot-air balloon.

An encounter between a sack of flour and a broken tree trunk celebrates the ordinary and the unexpected in everyday life.
Operation Frankenstein (Operación Frankenstein)
Three siblings find a broken mannequin in the dumpster and decide to rebuild it using whatever they can find. After that, they try to animate it like Dr. Frankenstein did with his monster.

"META" playfully, creatively tackles topics such as change, cycles, connection, and interaction. The film aims to show that everything is made up of many parts and personalities which, in the end, are all connected.
Joep in the Tomato Soup (Joep in de tomatensoep)
A hungry Joep, in his efforts to scoop the last of the soup from the bottom of a large pot, loses his balance and falls in headfirst. Inside the pot, he finds himself in a whole new universe!
City Penguin (Stadtpinguin)
Confined to their hot apartment, two sisters fantasize about the possible adventures of their lost toy penguin in the outside world.

How I Got My Wrinkles (L'Effet de mes rides)
Claude, a multi-faceted artist who is passionate about animation, decides to make "his own" film at last, before he turns 70. He embarks on this adventure with Gaston, his 7-year-old grandson, who shares Claude's love of drawing and moving images, and is perpetually curious and active.

These films celebrate how imagination and creativity energize our everyday world, and emphasizes the tools and inspirations that help create and animate imaginary worlds.


This program will also screen in person at NWFF on Feb. 5 at 4:30pm and Feb. 12 at 2:30pm! VIRTUAL, IN-PERSON, and HYBRID (virtual AND in-person) Festival Passes are available.
