The kids featured in these narrative and documentary shorts proudly embrace who they are. Follow along as they dance, push boundaries, celebrate their differences, and make new friends.


This program will also screen in person at NWFF on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11:30am! VIRTUAL, IN-PERSON, and HYBRID (virtual AND in-person) Festival Passes are available.

Together with their Icelandic horses, Fritzi and Kalle Piepen and their mother Leo explore the island they live on, watching seals and helping their grandma Ebbe feed animals on the family farm. They share the farm with Nisse, a small, invisible elf who protects them and their livestock.


When mom's new boyfriend Arne shows up during the winter vacations with his children Ava and Bo (who are younger than Fritzi and Kalle) and professes not to believe in Nisse, the farm is thrown into disarray! Nisse leaves the farm in a huff, Ava sneaks away to find him, and the adventure begins...
