Young work-hard-play-hard single mom Asia (Yiv) and Vika (Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Haas) are more like sisters than mother and daughter. But Vika is at an age where privacy and independence are paramount, and inevitably she begins to rebel against her mom’s parenting style. Their routine is shaken when Vika's health deteriorates rapidly. Asia must step in and become the mother Vika so desperately needs. Vika's illness turns out to be an opportunity to reveal the great love within this small family unit.

Awards: TriBeCa FF: Best Actress in an International Narrative Feature (Shira Haas), Nora Ephron Prize for Filmmaking (Ruthy Pribar). Israeli Film Academy: Best Film; Best Actress (Alena Yiv)

The jury of the festival – including Danny Boyle and William Hurt – wrote about Haas: “Her face is a never-ending landscape in which even the tiniest expression is heartbreaking. She’s an incredibly honest and present actress who brings depth to everything she does.”
