A jetlagged and disoriented fifty-something gay man, Michael (Hickey) arrives in Tel Aviv. He’s a travel writer for The New York Times who has come to uncover the “real” city over a five-day stay, subletting an apartment from a handsome local filmmaking student Tomer (Nissim). After Michael finds Tomer’s apartment in complete disarray, he immediately wants to get a hotel room, but Tomer needs the money, so encourages the writer to stay. And in exchange for crashing on his own couch, Tomer agrees to take Michael away from the well-trodden tourist path. The energy of the city and his relationship with a younger man brings Michael back to life.
