After breaking box office records with their first film, the characters from Matchmaking return with this endearing romantic comedy set against Ashkenazi and Sephardic cultural tensions. Baruch is the faithful assistant to the matchmaker Malchi. When Malchi assigns him the task of picking up her younger daughter Shira from the airport, he decides it's time for him to get married, but struggles to be seen as an eligible suitor. Featuring a stellar supporting cast, this sequel is a fun trip to a world of love, laughter, and a touch of mischief that does not require familiarity with its predecessor.

Erez Tadmor is a prolific writer-director from Tel Aviv. A graduate of the Camera Obscura Film School, his first short Moosh won over then 40 international film festivals awards. His first feature Strangers (with Guy Nattiv) was accepted at the Sundance World Cinema Dramatic Competition, 2007. He has been winning international awards for his dramatic and comedic work ever since. Matchmaking 2 and Soda represent the 8th and 9th Tadmor films the CFIC has shown in the past 15 years.
