A fragile, young Israeli woman of Tunisian descent (newcomer Noa Ohayon) travels to Paris to restart her life. She dreams of studying fashion design at a prestigious school, as she rents a room from a mysterious Israeli man (Lior Ashkenazi), takes calls from her “Jewish Mother” (Yael Abecaassis) and finds work at a restaurant where she befriends a woman from the Ivory Coast who is delighted they are “from the same continent.” A chance meeting with a handsome man turns into a traumatic encounter, an unwanted pregnancy and a quest for revenge that upends her plan. Based on the book by Emelie Moatti.
