Tour de Force presented in partnership with Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema
Tour de Force celebrates the spirit of unity, inclusion, and diversity in Denver's dance scene as three companies, Colorado Ballet, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, and Wonderbound, unite to create contemporary works. This behind the scenes story takes us into the world of ballet where three choreographers, Cleo Parker Robinson, Garrett Ammon, and Amy Seiwert, create new and compelling works of art that come to life on stage.
About the Director:
Brad Stabio is an award-winning independent filmmaker with 20 years of experience in film, documentary, and television production. He studied Film Production and Critical Studies at CU, winning the Goldfarb Award for Best Film twice in a row. After college he worked for various post-production houses as an editor until starting his own company, Stabio Productions, in 2000. Brad and his team have produced, directed, shot and edited hundreds of films about people, places and things to stir emotion and create conversation with an emphasis on great storytelling.
----
Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema is a niche film festival specializing in films that integrate the aesthetics of dance and cinema: where cinematography meets choreography. Since 2003 this Boulder-based team has been screening films by locals and internationally renowned artists alike in our hometown, across the country, and around the world. We seek to awaken the viewers to the art form that is dance cinema, building a community of dancers, filmmakers, and audiences around films that give new voice and vision to the dancing body.
