BLACK FRIDAY: On Thanksgiving night, a group of disgruntled toy store employees begrudgingly arrive for work to open the store at midnight for the busiest shopping day of the year. Meanwhile, an alien parasite crashes to Earth in a meteor. This group of misfits led by store manager Jonathan (Bruce Campbell) and longtime employee Ken (Devon Sawa) soon find themselves battling against hordes of holiday shoppers who have been turned into monstrous creatures hellbent on a murderous rampage on Black Friday.

GRIMMFEST SAYS: No, not a belated prequel to Mario Bava's BLACK SUNDAY, but a splattery satire of rampant consumer capitalism gone feral and a timely celebration of the selfless courage of retail workers in the face of frenzied Black Friday Bargain hunters. Seriously, folks... You've seen the footage. People half-killing each other to secure an end of the range microwave at less than 50% of the usual asking price. Kids being trampled in the rush. It's like they're all... possessed, or something. But what if they were? How would you tell? And what could you do about it? When your shopping mall starts to look like a scene from DAWN OF THE DEAD, who are you going to call? What you need is an expert, someone with a long history of dealing with such matters. Someone who's not afraid to, er, take it on the chin, so to speak... Yep, the one, the only, the inimitable Mr Bruce Campbell is back fighting those zombie hordes once again. As we all brace ourselves for the harrowing and exhausting horrors of last-minute Xmas shopping in a city suddenly crammed with panic-stricken out-of-towners without even a basic sense of direction, a timely reminder that there are others out there who have got it far worse. At least there's no infestation of alien parasites. However much it might seem that way sometimes at this time of year.
