KUSASA (Feature Film)


Synopsis: The South African youth soccer team, the Kusasa Stars, make their way to the finals in Europe to play in the Gothia Cup. The boys carry their country’s flag with pride and seek to bring positive change to their home, Groendal. The turmoil that wracks their local community impacts the members of the team in different ways. Nevertheless they are united in their tireless effort to achieve victory, moving from surviving to thriving. A coming of age story for Black South African boys, all dealing with the realities of a post-colonial society, racism, and striving in poverty amidst white privilege.
